Tracey,
Not at all don’t worry about it. I think we all get caught up in the general goings-ons sometimes.
I’ll send the request for the walk shortly after I write this. It does seem appropriate to try and get around Slughorn with a bit of charm and flattery and such. We’d be much better off appealing to his good side to see if it makes him rather more willing.
I think the outside world is undoubtedly taking a rather stressed toll on us all. At least your mother is able to present a rather cheerful face over the difficult period we seem to be entering. I do hope that things settle down and become a lot more relaxed. If you ever need to talk, well you know where to find me.
