spelled note to Mandy

March 13th, 2006 (02:31 am)

Mandy,

The fever fudge was a stroke of brilliance, getting out of class was a bit of welcome relief I have to say. I imagine you are aware that Slytherin are now under a new head of house? Although I doubt he’ll make much of a difference to many of the students or its current state at present. There is rather a touch too much turmoil and disinterest or perhaps that’s simply me.

I heard from both my parents and my brother over the last two days. The former informing me that I am under no means to correspond with my brother and the latter telling me to ignore whatever my parents have told me and to remember where loyalties should lie when split. I’m of the mind to throw both letters away but I have penned neutral replies to bother. He is my brother after all and I do somewhat dote on him as he has been guidance to me in younger years. But I bore you I’m sure. How do your parents fare? From the news I hear your father is in good spirits at the moment and seems to be prospering.

I see that you and Tracey are talking more. You are cautious of course in what you say? She is… Slytherin after all. I certainly never expected such an acquaintance to form. How is Morag while I remember? Good I hope.

note to Tracey

Tracey,

The hexings, I have to say, have little importance to me at the moment. No doubt it’s some eager member of one of the lower years attempting to impress an older student or two. My own concerns lie with family, something I’m sure you are acquainted with at the moment.

As for tea. I’m sorry I missed it. Perhaps another day this week. I have indeed missed talking to you although I always presume you are much too busy to associate yourself with me. I’m sure you have a lot going on to bother with a sixth year although I do delight in corresponding.

Maybe we could petition to be allowed out for a walk the three of us? You, me and Mandy. It seems a reasonable request and it would do go to escape the castle and get a modicum of privacy.

note to Millicent

Millicent,

I’m sure there is some glamour or charm that allows you to appear to be awake whilst slumbering. Maybe it’ll be worth investing a trip to the library in search of such a thing if it seems likely that further talks of this nature will occur.

The choice of head of house, although obvious, seems rather bland. I’d have much preferred to be left mostly alone like our previous head of house proceeded to do. Alas all things worth having must come to an end. If compensation of Quidditch tickets is our cross to bear after a period of lapse then we must bear it.
